The Western Australia Mustang Club Branch had a couple of false starts to get up and going but with the enthusiasm of Brian Walsgott where he was continuing to contact Mustang owners and organise runs, was the catalyst for the establishment of the Club.

Brian placed an ad in the Sunday Times paper in May 1979 inviting Mustang owners to meet at his house in Orrong Rd Rivervale to discuss forming a Club and 26 Mustangs filled the street. 

The meeting voted Brian Walsgott as President, Kim Geraghty as Vice President and Colleen Lucas as Secretary/Treasurer.  

The remaining attendees nominated themselves to act as the Social Committee and Public Relations with each member having the opportunity to organise outings of their choice.   

The WA Club owes a debt of gratitude to the SA Mustang Owners Club members and Committee for helping the Club get up and running in particular, Rod Kilvington (SA President) who had kept constantly in touch and offered advice and help to all WA MOC members in those early days.

The Mustang Owners Club of WA Branch is now part of a strong national membership of over 2,700 owners.

The Club holds monthly meetings in and around Perth’s CBD in a friendly social atmosphere where Mustangs are the general topic of the evening. We also hold monthly outings which are generally family oriented.

Mustang Club news is available to members on a regular basis through the Club Magazine.

The Club caters for all Mustangs, 1964 to present models, stock or modified.
